What makes a good college essay?  What should I write about? How do I even start?
There's no part of the college application process that instills greater dread than the application essay. There's also no other part of the written application that offers an opportunity for the applicant to express his or her individuality and become more than a collection of statistics and credentials. Main Line Tutorial's tutors will first guide you in selecting experiences and ideas that capture the best of who you are, then assist you in refining your writing style so that you can convey your individuality with flair.

Is this grammatically correct?
Maybe you have already written your essays and just need a second set of eyes. We can help you with that as well.  We will either meet with you in person or we can work over the phone and by email. Email and telephone sessions can be as short as 15 minutes.

What’s the best way to get and stay organized?
Organizing and filling out applications can be overwhelming.  We’ll come to your house, get you organizedand help you with everything from navigating the new commonapplication website and determining which teachers to ask for recommendations to making sure everything is submitted on time.

Under no circumstances do Main Line Tutorial tutors write college application essays for our clients. Our objective is to guide the student through the process and to help him or her write the best essay he or she is capable of writing.  Ultimately, the college essay is the work and responsibility of the student.  College essay coaching tends to be a lengthy process.  We are unable to estimate how many sessions a particular student will need before the fact.
